Chinese Baby FingerTrap!

One of the funny things things about newborns is their lack of awareness of their own limbs. Poor Gabriel got caught the other day -- his right hand got wrapped around the fingers of his left hand -- and he was trapped! His eyes got real big, and he started shaking his left hand back and forth. Suddenly he pulled free and his left hand flew back and hit the bed with a bang! Whew -- disaster averted!

As concerned parents, we've decided to help Gabe learn about these things called "arms" by making them a little more noticeable...

My wife and I are brand-new parents, and we're super excited! She's doing a scrapbook, and I'm going to try this blogging stuff as my own scrapbook. I'll share some of our joy and surprises and excitement as new parents. We both WELCOME the thoughts and advice of more experienced parents -- and of course all the compliments about the baby that you'd care to give!
